Intro ceraspace ceraspace™ is a particularly high-performance protective fabric technology from Schoeller, offering a new dimension in abrasion protection. It is utilized most when maximum protective properties are called for, such as in workwear, footwear or protective wear for motorcycling.
The outstanding ceraspace™ technology from Schoeller owes its outstanding protective properties to a unique composition of special ceramic particles anchored in a polymer matrix. The special ceramic particles are nearly as hard as diamonds and are fi rmly attached as a 3-dimensional coating to the textile. A textile with ceraspace™ performs signifi cantly better than high quality leather in terms of abrasion:

The comparison of two schoeller® fabrics with and without ceraspace™ technology shows, that the abrasion resistance increases signifi cantly thanks to the ceramic coating.

Intro coldblack In comparison to light colors, dark colors absorb more heat in direct sunlight. The heat absorption can be reduced to a minimum with coldblack®, the UVA- and UVB-protection textile finish from Schoeller Technologies. coldblack® reduces heat build-up and provides reliable protection from the sun’s rays. Consequently, the wear comfort of textiles can be noticeably improved.



The function:
Dark-colored textiles absorb both visible and invisible sunlight, meaning both heat and light. In all types of textiles, coldblack® reduces this absorption of thermal radiation. This function is particularly effective in the case of darker colors. The result is a noticeably better heat management.

Intro corkshell With corkshell™ from Schoeller, it is now possible to combine the outstanding natural features of cork with those of high-performance fabrics. corkshell™ offers much higher thermal insulation than functional fabrics while providing both high breathability and wearer comfort.
corkshell™ is made of an FSC-certified cork granulate that is a by-product in the manufacturing of wine corks. This natural granulate is pulverized and firmly anchored as a coating in a special process patented by Schoeller.
Two corkshell™ options are available:
  • Two-layer fabric construction with a cork coating on the inside of the fabric
  • Three-layer fabric construction with the cork coating in the middle

All fabric constructions are water and wind repelling, highly breathable and is available in both 2-way and 4-way stretch qualities.

Intro ecodye Less time, less water, less energy – schoeller®-ecodye is a specially developed auxiliary concept for polyester (PES) dyeing processes. The technology accelerates the dyeing process of yarns and piece goods, thereby saving resources and costs, while simultaneously protecting the environment.

schoeller® ecodye makes shorter heating-up phases possible. In addition, the dyeing process improves the product quality. Even with critical nuances and dye combinations, the use of this technology does not negatively impact the evenness of the dyeing.

Isn't it fascinating how ducks can dive under water and reemerge with their feathers still dry? Like all waterfowl, ducks produce an oily secretion that allows their plumage to repel water. The ecorepel® technology transfers this natural water repellency to textile surfaces.
 
The function:
Just like a duck's plumage, ecorepel® imitates this natural, water-repelling protection and ensures that textiles stay dry and clean.


ecorepel® is based on long paraffin chains that wrap themselves in a spiral around the individual fibers. This reduces the surface tension so that water droplets and even watery dirt with a much higher surface tension simply run off. Breathability is not affected, and the feel remains pleasantly soft.
